A few days ago I posted about a Blueberry Chia Seed Jam that I made. Part of making that jam was to be able to then make this smoothie. You can read the recipe for the smoothie here. The jam recipe can be found linked in that recipe and you can read my past posts for my thoughts on the jam.
This smoothie contains a bit more than just the jam, pineapple and banana to be specific. And while smoothies always seem to contain many ingredients, the pineapple and banana became the dominant flavors. Which was a little disappointing. Not that it was bad, just that I was hoping for a bit more of the blueberry flavor.
I did use the almond milk rather than the coconut water as suggested. And I skipped the optional flaxseed oil. Overall this wasn’t bad, a little bit more labor intensive as you have to make the jam first but decent.
