This was a fun little recipe I found floating around on Facebook. It appears that it came from Cambria Herbert Books. I thought it would be a fun thing to do with the girls since it is something they could easily help put together. Plus it’s a cookie. Who doesn’t like a cookie?
Unfortunately, while it worked, it didn’t quite work perfectly. After a minute it was a little under done. Even increasing the time by a little bit didn’t seem to help. I was a little hesitant to keep trying to increase the time as I didn’t want anything to burn, plus I wasn’t making a lot of these so I had limited time to try and get it right. As you can see from my picture, the top really doesn’t look like a nice cookie (of course the picture on Facebook did). But it tasted fine and of course, in my opinion, a slightly under done cookie is fine.
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon white sugar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/4 cup of flour
- 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
Mix all ingredients together in a small bowl or mug. Microwave 60 seconds. Enjoy.
