Italian Shrimp


I made this as one of the two dishes I took to the Super Bowl party we went to. It was one of those things floating around on Facebook and seemed simple enough. And it was very easy to put together, didn’t take long. However, it disagree with the Facebook post that these will be “the best shrimp you ever taste”. They were good but, not that great. Part of the problem may have been that I used pre-cooked shrimp. But, as I’ve posted before, I’ve done the shelling and de-veining once and I’m not doing it again. The other problem was that too keep them warm I put them in a crockpot and they sat in there for a few hours. Eventually they became rubbery and overlooked.

Now, the taste wasn’t all that bad but I think these shrimp were MUCH better. Interestingly, I made those shrimp for last year’s Super Bowl party.

So, try it if you like, just be sure to not over cook the shrimp.

1 lb shrimp (if uncooked, shell and de-vein)
1 stick of butter melted
1 lemon, sliced as thin as you can
Italian seasoning

Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Pour the melted butter on the sheet. Lay the lemon slices down on the butter. Lay the shrimp on top of the lemon slices. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over the shrimp.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.
