Velvet Hammer

About a month ago I was in Tulsa on a work trip. One of the nights we went to someone’s house for a fish fry. Towards the end of the night the host made this drink. The short of it was that it was (is) fantastic. So I took some notes in order to recreate it back home. You can use any brands that you want for the alcohol. It can be top shelf or bottom shelf, doesn’t matter. He did say that you need to use really good ice cream. I’ve only made this once since then and I used a pretty decent brand of ice cream so I can’t really say if the ice cream “makes” it or not.

And it does live up to its name. It goes down velvety smooth but has a kick to it.

2 shots triple sec
2 shots brandy
2 shots hazelnut liqueur
4 shots creme de cacao
Half of a 1.5 quart container of vanilla ice cream

Place everything in a blender and run until smooth.
